Victory In The Light Ministries is a Bible-believing, Spirit-filled and Evangelistic Church with a “Heart for the City and a Vision for the World”. We are affiliated with In the Light Ministries Fellowship of Lancaster, PA. a part of the Praise Chapel Christian Fellowship. With churches in the U.S., Africa, Central America, Europe, Iraq, Israel, and the Philippines we are following the pattern of Discipleship in the book of Acts: Reaching the lost, Teaching them, and then Releasing them by planting new churches.
Lead Pastors Lee and Deborah Roper responded to the call of God in August 1982 at a small church in Sierra Vista, Arizona. They came to Jersey City in January 1991 and took over a small church plant in May 1991, Pastored by Eli and Nancy Negron. Through the years Victory in the Light has focused on reaching its local community and reaching out to the world in missions. Africa, Czech Republic, Cuba, Ghana, Honduras, Liberia, Nicaragua, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Slovakia, South Africa are all places where we’ve been or have supported others who went.

We desire to lead people into a relationship with God and not a religion. It’s the relationship experience that produces lasting change and fulfillment in life that all seek.
Teach them to EMBRACE His Word.
With God’s Word as our standard and foundation we teach, and preach embracing the Word by making it an active part of our lives everyday.
EMPOWER them for victorious living.
Through ministries for men, women, youth and marriages we seek to develop each person: spiritually, physically, mentally and economically according to principles set forth in the Bible.
Help EQUIP them for service in God’s Kingdom
We believe every believer has a place of ministry to help the local church. Through training and ministry we seek to follow the new testament pattern of Acts to release those called to pastor.
